An article by China Plus News said that Wang owns a private after-school home tutoring institute in Nanyang, Henan Province, and was in deep sleep inside his building when he noticed a blazing fire at around 1:20am.
Wang quickly rose and woke up his wife, Pan Pin, and his young son, before rushing them outside the building to get them into safety.
Upon seeing that the entire building was on fire, Wang ran back to the first floor where the institute operates and woke up two of his pupils, both aged 10, and one of his staff members. The brave man managed to get the three outside safely despite the intense flames.
It is not the end of Wang’s heroism, as after making sure that the three were safe, he then rushed back to the second and third floors of the building out of concern for his neighbors.
Wang’s wife said the man went from door to door, trying to wake up as much as he can, and telling them to evacuate quickly. In total, more than 10 people were saved; thanks to the brave’s man action.
Wang was the last person to leave the building, and people rushed to his aid upon seeing him covered in blood and severely burned. He was rushed to the Nanshi Hospital of Nanyang and was admitted to the intensive care unit, where he still remains critically injured.
