After almost four years since they worked together on a movie project, “Kapuso Primetime King” Dingdong Dantes and Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban will reunite in a new movie under Star Cinema.
The production company shared on its official Instagram account several photos taken during the story conference of the movie which has the working title “The Unmarried Wife” held on Tuesday, May 17.
Dantes said he is excited to work with Star Cinema again.
Philippine Entertainment Portal quoted Dantes as saying in an interview with ABS-CBN News: “After more than a couple of years nandito ako ulit for a project. I’m very excited kasi maganda ang tema at maganda ang kwento nito.
[After more than a couple of years, I’m here again for a project. I’m very excited because the theme and the story are beautiful.]
Kumbaga it’s happening talaga sa mga relationships na nakikita natin around us. So very appropriate din na ma-tackle siya. [I’m] very excited ako doon sa kwento, sa tema, sa kabuuan, siyempre sa mga kasamahan ko and of course, I’m excited to work with Star Cinema once again.”
[It’s really happening in relationships around us. So it’s very appropriate to tackle it. I’m very excited about the story, the theme, my co-stars, and, of course, I’m excited to work with Star Cinema once again.]
The movie will also star former GMA actor Paulo Avelino. It will be directed by award-winning director Maryo J. Delos Reyes.
According to an article published by ABS-CBN News, Panganiban, who wasn’t able to attend the story conference, will play a woman torn between her husband and her lover. The cast refused to reveal more details about the project.
Delos Reyes described the film as a matured approach towards the eternal triangle; a new look into characters played by the three protagonists and how they’ll interact.
Panganiban and Dantes worked in the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Segunda Mano” and in the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “One More Try”.
In both of the films, the two of them played husband and wife.
