- Gloc-9 said God answered his prayers and gave him a lot already
- He’s ready to retire anytime
- Before he does, he wants to make a song that will seal his legacy in the music industry
Aristotle Pollisco, popularly known by his stage name Gloc-9, has been in the music industry for nearly two decades now and the award-winning artist admitted that he is ready to retire anytime.
ABS-CBN News quoted him as saying during the launching of his new album “Sukli” on Wednesday, May 25: “Ang lagi kong sinasabi noon ay puwede na akong mag-stop ngayon.
[I’ve always said before that I can stop now.]
He said God has given him a lot already, and he has nothing to complain about.
He added that as he looked back at all the things he prayed for when he was just starting, God might not have answered them at the times he wanted them, but he answered them at the right time.
But before he retires, Gloc-9 wants to make a song that will seal his legacy in the music industry; something that people will always remember.
Asked what will his last song be, Gloc-9 answered: “My story.”
The 38-year-old rapper wants his story to be heard by those who wants to follow his footsteps.
“Sukli” marks Gloc-9’s return to Star Music after a decade.
On his Instagram account, Gloc-9 also shared his excitement on being a Star Music artist again after he signed the contract last February.
He wrote: “Balik sa dating Tahanan. Maraming Salamat po.”
[Back to my old home. Thank you very much.]
He said in an interview: “Sobrang saya ko kasi kahit after kong mawala sa Star before, lagi kong naaalala kung saan ako nanggaling. At karamihan sa break na nakuha ko ay galing din dito with Star. At lahat ng mga taong nakatrabaho ko, ilan sa pinaka-memorable na tao at hindi ko nakakalimutan ay mga tao na tumulong sa akin [dito]. I’m very, very happy to be back.
[I’m very happy because ever since I’ve been gone from Star Music, I never forgot where I came from. And most of the break I received were from Star. And of all the people I’ve worked with, who had helped me are from here. I’m very, very happy to be back.]
