When you know you are already losing something or someone, perhaps, the least yet the best thing you can do is to cherish every moment with them — enjoy the time while it lasts.
A 30-year-old man has recreated a photo with his dog; his way of saying goodbye to his cancer-stricken pet.
In an article written by Tom of Bored Panda, it was disclosed that Gordon Delacroix and his dog Birdy have been best friends for 15 years. Unfortunately, the dog was diagnosed with cancer.
“He could easily be great for another six months, but it’s also possible that he’ll get very sick again soon and this time for the last time,” Delacroix said.
With this, to honor his dog, Gordon decided to recreate their photo in front of his grandmother’s house in Belgium; showing the same pose he took at the age of 15 and 25.
“It breaks my heart just to think about it, but we’ve had so many great years and adventures together. I’m grateful he was part of my life,” he expressed.
The photos are touching many hearts online.
“Well, look at those grey paws, I wanna snuggle my face into them and say: Blblblllbbl really loud,” said Imgur user DeadpoolFangirl.
“Cute! Dog’s pretty cute too,” Old Gregg wrote.
