Manalo siblings ordered evicted from INC compound

  • A Metropolitan Trial Court in Manila has ordered the eviction of Angel Manalo and Lottie Manalo-Hemedez from the INC property in Quezon City
  • The court said the Manalo siblings have been residing illegally inside the property
  • The INC explained the former INC members lost their right to live in the property after they were expelled from the church

MANILA, Philippines – A court in Manila has ordered the eviction of former Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) members Felix Nathaniel “Angel” Manalo and Lolita “Lottie” Manalo-Hemedez from the religious group’s property in Tandang Sora in Quezon City.

The Manila Metropolitan Trial Court (MTC) Branch 12 has ruled in favor of the ejectment case against the Manalo siblings, ordering the latter to vacate the property.

In a six-page decision, Judge Ann Sia declared Angel Manalo and Lottie Manalo, both siblings of INC executive minister, Eduardo V. Manalo (EVM), to be residing illegally in the property owned by the influential church.

Early this year, the INC filed an ejectment case against EVM’s estranged brother and sister who lost their right to reside in the property after they were expelled from the church.

“Hopefully, now that they are aware that even the court agrees with our position, they, with their own volition, vacate the premises,” Zabala said in a statement to reporters on Saturday, June 18.

INC lawyer Moises Tolentino explained that such privilege were terminated upon their expulsion from INC after having committed “some serious relation of the church doctrines.”

“The decision says that they are ordered to immediately vacate and surrender possession of the premises to the plaintiff which is the INC,” Tolentino added. “If they do not do it on their own, we will be compelled to file a motion for execution which we intend to do next week and have it heard by the court.”

Zabala also believes the Manalo siblings are a threat to the INC. He further claimed security in the area have intercepted drones and parts of hearing devices allegedly concealed in deliveries and packages which were supposedly intended for Angel and Lottie Manalo.
