MANILA, Philippines – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will soon make the life of fine-paying motorists a bit easier after it signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with SM Malls and Meralco’s Bayad Center where payments will be accepted soon.
The agreement was signed on Monday, June 6, by MMDA Chairman Emerson Carlos and representatives from the bills payment centers.
“MMDA Chairman Emerson Carlos inks an agreement with SM Bills Payment and Bayad Center for the provision of an avenue where motorists can pay the fines of their traffic, anti-littering, no contact apprehension, and anti-jaywalking violations,” an announcement posted on MMDA’s Facebook page said.
SM Bills Payment centers will be very accessible to motorists as these outlets are available in almost all SM Malls in Metro Manila . Bayad Centers, on the other hand, are available in several bank branches across the metro.
Both SM and Bayad Centers will be accepting payments on selected sites starting June 20, 2016, the MMDA said. Motorists will just have to present the ticket/s issued to them for any particular offense before making the payment.
