Eddie Boy Villamayor, a teen star during the 1970’s and the youngest brother of veteran actress Nora Aunor, died on Monday, June 27. He was 56.
Villamayor died at the Far Eastern University Hospital in Fairview, Quezon City, where he was confined since he suffered a stroke in July 2015.
Pep’s Erwin Santiago wrote in his article dated June 27, 2016 that Eddie Boy’s remains will lie in repose at the Loyola Columbary in Commonwealth, Quezon City starting Monday night.
Eddie Boy was a member of the 70’s teen group “Apat na Sikat” which included former matinee idol Arnold Gamboa, Dondon Nakar, Winnie Santos (Vilma Santos’ younger sister) and Lala Aunor, Nora Aunor’s cousin.
Arnold Gamboa took to Facebook to express his sadness over the death of his former co-star and childhood friend.
“Just received a very sad news this morning from Lala Aunor. Eddie Boy Villamayor passed away. Please pray for his eternal repose,” he wrote.
Gamboa revealed in his post that Eddie Boy, Lala, Winnie and him have been friends even before they all became actors.
“To my dearest friend Buboy, today there shall be no more pain, no more heartaches, no more worries for you shall be in God’s heavenly kingdom where peace reigns eternal. Buboy, I will include you in my prayers – always,” Arnold said in his post.
Eddie Boy appeared in the movies “Alkitrang Dugo” (1975), “Banaue” (1975), “Niño Valiente” (1975) and “Minsa’y Isang Gamu-gamo” (1976).
Lala Aunor said Eddie Boy will be interred at the family mausoleum at the Loyola Memorial Park in Parañaque.
