Korean pop star Sandara Park is soon to make a comeback in Philippine TV but this time as a judge in a talent search.
“This is going to be exciting. See you, Kapamilya. Mahal ko kayo!,” the 2NE1 Korean girl band member said on an Instagram video.
Last April, Sandara was in the country for photo shoots as the endorser of Penshoppe, and have appeared in some TV shows, but this time she will be staying for a longer period.
On Twitter, Roxy Liquigan, Star Cinema’s PR director confirmed the return of the ‘pambansang krung-krung‘ – as she is called by her avid supporters.
“Sandara will be back!” Liquigan tweeted, with a # pinoyboybandsuperstar, referring to the reality TV show titled ‘Pinoy Boyband Superstar’, in which Sandara will appear as judge.
“This upcoming reality show aims to find new Pinoy boy bands that will bring ‘kilig’ and good music to television viewers,” said in an article published by ABS-CBN News in announcement of the network’s new shows.
The show’s contestants will be judged by Sandara, with her years of experience of Korean pop stardom in tow, alongside comedian Vice Ganda and singer Yeng Constantino.
Sandara is no newcomer to reality TV, as the 31-year-old pop star got her first break in 2004 after she finished as a runner-up in ‘Star Circle Quest’, an ABS-CBN talent search show.
The network also unveiled 5 other shows that fans can look forward to this year: ‘Till I met you’ which will be James Reid and Nadine Lustre’s much-awaited comeback on primetime drama, Season 7 of ‘Pinoy Big Brother’, game show ‘Minute to Win it’ to be hosted by Luis Manzano, ‘Langit Lupa’ that will feature Jason Abalos and Yam Concepcion, and, ‘The Greatest Love’ that will be topbilled by Andi Eigenmann, Dimples Romana, and Sylvia Sanchez.
