MANILA, Philippines – A video of pop-rock singer-songwriter Yeng Constantino performing an impromptu duet of “Michael Learns to Rock” songs with a videoke salesman is making the rounds online.
The 27-year-old performer shared the story and uploaded the video on her official Facebook page.
According to Yeng, she was looking for a videoke because her father will be celebrating his birthday on June 28 and they will be having a videoke session.
Part of her post read: “Ang sumalubong sakin itong si Kuya Nard. At pinakita nya sakin lahat ng pagpipilian. Explain explain sya nung bawat uri ng videoke. Mamaya ng konti ayun pinapakanta ako. Sabi ko “ikaw nalang Kuya”. Eh habang kumakanta sya at dinedemo ang videoke unit naiinggit ako kaya kinuha ko yung isang mic kaya eto ang nangyari!”
[The one who accommodated me when I entered was Kuya Nard. He showed me the choices and explained each one. After a while, he asked me to sing and I told him that he should be the one to sing. While he was singing to demonstrate the videoke unit, I got a little envious so I took the other mic and this is what happened.]
Yeng and the videoke salesman sang “25 Minutes” and “Paint My Love”.
The “ASAP” regular said she really enjoyed their duet and thanked the videoke salesman for explaining to her the specs of the videoke unit she bought and for singing with her.
For his part, the videoke salesman was overwhelmed with the experience and left a comment on Yeng’s post.
He thanked Yeng for the chance to sing a duet with her and added that he won’t forget what happened.
The video now has more than 1.4 million views and almost seven thousand shares on Facebook.
