MANILA, Philippines – Former “Goin’ Bulilit” stars and Philippines’ newest internet sensations CJ Navato and Kristel Fulgar teamed-up once again and released their first OPM cover together.
Do you still remember the song, “Pag-ibig Na Kaya“, popularized by Christian Bautista and Rachelle Ann Go a decade ago?
It’s the Filipino version of “Sarang In Ga Yo” (Perhaps Love), which was originally sung by Howl and J and is included in the official soundtrack of the popular Korean TV series “Princess Hours”, which also took the Philippines by storm.
The two young stars looked very comfortable together and just having fun while singing their duet.
Fulgar shared in a Facebook post one of the behind-the-scenes photos of their newest cover and described it as ‘the cutest’.
Previously, the two of them covered Little Mix and Jason Derulo’s “Secret Love Song”, Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor’s “Marvin Gaye” and Tori Kelly ft. Ed Sheeran’s “I Was Made for Loving You” which all became viral.
They continue to receive positive reviews for their song covers “Pillowtalk”; with most of their fans requesting them to release more song covers and an album as well.
Last May, Navato released his first solo cover.
He sang former One Direction singer Zayn Malik’s hit song “Pilowtalk” and the video was directed by Fulgar.
Navato made his first television appearance when he joined ABS-CBN’s reality-based talent competition “Star Circle Quest: Kids Edition” in 2004. He got in the “Magic Circle of 5” and became the fourth placer. After that, he became a part of Star Magic with an exclusive contract with the Kapamilya network. Together with Kathryn Bernardo, Jane Oineza, Mikylla Ramirez, Steven Christian Fermo, Navato graduated from “Goin’ Bulilit” on October 19, 2008, as the show’s fifth batch of graduates. He is currently a cast of teen comedy series named “Luv U”
As for Fulgar, she is known for her roles in “Maria Flordeluna”, Dahil Sa Pag-ibig“, “Got to Believe”, and “Bagito”. She was among the third batch of “Goin’ Bulilit” graduates. Together with Kiray Celis, Hopia Legaspi and Eliza Pineda, Fulgar graduated from the show on June 17, 2007.
