- A nine-year-old girl is now a wedding photographer
- Regina Wyllie, or The G, is being requested by brides to cover their special day
- Regina is the daughter of award-winning photographer Kevin Wyllie
A nine-year-old girl is following the footsteps of her father by excelling in his field of expertise — which is photography. Better known as The G, the young wedding photographer is now being requested by brides.
In an article written by Ruta Grasyte of Bored Panda, it was disclosed that Regina Wyllie, a Scotland-based wedding photographer, has been accompanying her dad Kevin Wyllie since she was three years old.
Kevin was named as one of the top eight photographers in the 2013 Scottish Wedding Awards finals, and was described by British Vogue magazine as “a visionary photographer who can make your big day that little bit more special.”
Perhaps, being a photographer runs in her blood, as Regina has completely dropped her toy camera and grabbed her dad’s gadget.
“While I was shooting, she went into one of my camera bags and pulled out a small, compact camera and starting taking some shots. She’d take that small camera out, and ask, ‘Will you show me how to use it properly dad? Over the years…she’d ask me more and more questions, and ask to come out shooting with me,” Kevin shared.
Now, Regina is being requested personally by brides to accompany her father in the wedding shoots. But not only are wedding clients requesting the youngster; when she was 7 years old, a photo she took at one of Kevin’s “trash the dress” shoots was picked up for a ThinkTank campaign. Not to mention when Kevin was asked to shoot a comedian for a local magazine, Regina tagged along and, of course, her shot was picked over her father’s for the magazine!
