  • Ai Ai shared she has no plans to remarry any time soon

“Finally — mega super single na ako [Finally — I’m mega super single],” Ai Ai delas Alas said in an Instagram post announcing her divorce with ex-husband Jed Salang was finally recognized by the Philippine court.

In the post, Ai Ai shared a photo of the letter from her lawyer from Fortun Narvasa and Salazar Law Offices stating that the Quezon City Regional Trial Court recognized her US divorce.

The letter read: “We are pleased to send you a copy of the QC RTC’s Decision granting your petition to enforce the foreign Divorce Decree in this country thereby capacitating you to remarry.”

Ai Ai married Salang in the US in April 2013 and separated a month after, with Ai Ai saying that Salang has physically hurt her, as per an article published by Rappler. Their divorce was finalized in January of 2014. In the same year, Ai-Ai got into a relationship with Gerald Sibayan who is almost 30 years her junior.

In another Instagram post, Ai Ai clarified that she is “technically single”, but her heart is taken. She explained that she is still with Sibayan.

“Hindi po ako single may boyfriend pa din po ako,” Ai-Ai said.

[I am not single, I still have a boyfriend.]

Ai Ai also said, despite the court’s decision, she’s in no rush to get married any time soon.

“Ang kagandahan lang malinis at walang wala na akong problema kung magpapakasal ako, yun na yun. Ang meaning ng super single na ako,” she explained.

[What’s good is I won’t have a problem if I decide to marry, that’s what I meant by I’m ‘super single.’]

She also said in jest: “At sa mga humahanga, salamat pero taken na lola nyo. Nakakatawa lang yung text agad-agad. At tsaka sa edad kong ‘to ha may gusto pang manligaw!”

[And to those who admire me, thank you but I’m already taken. It’s funny that there were some who texted right away. And at my age, someone still wants to court me!]
