CHICAGO, USA – Filipinos’ most beloved bee is expanding its coverage further and has opened another store abroad — this time for Filipinos in the Midwest United States of America.
To highlight the event, a giant bucket of chicken joy was made available to the customers who visited their store at Skokie in the Chicago metropolitan area on Friday.
Ashok Selvam mentioned in his article for Chicago Eater that executives of the Philippines’ top fast-food chain gathered around the giant bucket of Chicken Joy to lead a ceremonial toast with pieces from the bucket.
A video showing a Jollibee mascot dancing with its red and white tux to the strains of the fast-food chain’s iconic theme song was also uploaded on Facebook showing the preparation for the store opening.
An article by GMA News said that Chicago locals can enjoy their own buckets of Chicken Joy which started on Friday, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Filipinos in Illinois lined up for the store’s opening; delighted to finally have their well-loved Jollibee just around the corner.
