A video showing a huge centipede crawling out of a girl’s ear emerged online and created a stir in the online community.
Kara O’Neill mentioned in her article for Mirror Co UK that the video clip initially showed a girl lying down on a bed, then a man squeezed drops into her ear.
The man continued to squeeze the ear drops for a few more seconds, attempting to widen the ear opening as much as possible; anticipating the exit of the centipede.
After a few more moments, the huge centipede suddenly appeared at the girl’s ear opening and quickly scurried out across her head.
As the creature emerged, the man and the woman in the background can be heard gasping in shock. The video was cut immediately afterward.
Insects can fly or crawl into the ear canal and when it happens, it might become terrifying for the person.
Medline Plus reminds anyone who got any insect accidentally lodged in their ear to not put a finger in the affected ear as that will make the insect sting, and might cause more injury.
Instead, someone should turn the person’s head so that the affected side is up, and wait to see if the insect flies or crawls out.
If that does not work, try pouring mineral oil, olive oil, or baby oil into the ear. By doing this, the insect should suffocate and may float out in the oil.
Even if an insect appears to come out, still get medical attention as small insect parts can irritate the sensitive skin of the ear canal.
