ALICE SPRINGS, Australia – This might be the most unusual love story, as a male kangaroo and female pig are believed to be in a relationship for a year now and were caught being intimate with each other.
An article by Sam Webb for the Mirror Co UK said that 28-year-old Ryan Frazer took mind-boggling pictures of the kangaroo and pig snuggling together.
One image showed the kangaroo draping his arm across the pig as if being protective of her as he looks into the camera.
Frazer, who was on a work trip in Australia’s Northern Territory, captured the photos while he and his colleagues stopped by and visit Aileron; a place which is about 80 miles north of Alice Springs.
The group was expecting to take a snap of a giant statue of an indigenous man, which is a local landmark in the area; however, they found more than they bargained for.
Locals in the area claimed that a pig named “Apples” and a kangaroo, has, apparently, been in a relationship for over a year now.
“We met them at a fence near the landmark and we were standing right in front of them really and they stopped there and were checking us out.
“It was pretty clear from the outset the kangaroo and the pig were strangely close, they were touching each other, the pig was nuzzling under the kangaroo’s arms,” said Frazer as quoted in an article by Liam Quinn for Mail Online.
Frazer said that at one point, they saw the kangaroo go up on his back leg as if showing his height.
“I don’t know if it was a territory thing, but he got himself worked up a bit and started hugging the pig from behind,” Frazer said.
“And that’s when we realized there was more to the relationship, he kind of worked himself up a bit, and that’s when we could see there was some magic in the air,” Frazer added.
The group also claimed that the duo’s intimacy went intense as they claimed to see the kangaroo trying to copulate with the pig.
“I’m not sure if he could actually ‘get there’ but he was going through the motions and pretty clearly finished. His thing came out at a right angle it was really surprising,” Frazer said; adding that the pig didn’t seem concerned at all and showed no stress,” he added.
As told on NT News, the owner of the pig tried to take her away one time and the kangaroo nearly tore their fence down.
