- Jimmy Bondoc clarified he did not quit the post as AVP for Entertainment of PAGCOR
- He said his appointment was never formalized in the first place
- “All articles referring to this ‘quitting’ are false, unfounded, with questionable research, and whose writers never asked me for comment.” – Jimmy Bondoc
James Patrick Romero Bondoc, popularly known as Jimmy Bondoc, slammed the reports that came out about him quitting his position as assistant vice president (AVP) for Entertainment of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
According to an article published by Philippine Entertainment Portal, the singer-songwriter said in an official statement sent to TV5 reporter MJ Marfori that he did not quit his position because it was never formalized in the first place.
He said: “All articles referring to this ‘quitting’ are false, unfounded, with questionable research, and whose writers never asked me for comment.
“I cannot ‘quit’ something that had not been formalized yet.”
He explained that his appointment was never finalized because the board had not convened at that time.
“In the meantime, in a conversation with Mr. Bong Go, we considered another post in PTV4, because I might be able to work on larger scale entertainment (like radio or TV shows on the public network) that may help inform people more about the president’s platform,” he added.
According to Bondoc, he only wanted to do one thing from the very beginning and that is to support President Rodrigo Duterte and their shared beliefs.”
“I am just waiting for word from the President. Wherever he needs me, I will gladly oblige,” he added.
Last July, Bondoc took to Facebook to make his announcement regarding his appointment and at the same time assure the people that although he may or may not be the best man for the job, he is an honest man and he is here to serve the next generation.
He revealed that he had already begun working for his new 9am-6pm job.
