A video of a young roller skater gliding through complicated obstacles like a figure skater has been circulating and catching the attention of people online.
The viral video features 11-year-old Sofia Bogdanova during her performance at the Czech Freestyle World Cup where she placed first in the junior category.
It was originally posted on Youtube by user Slalom Tim Team. The post garnered more than 374,085 views.
The Facebook Page “Viral Thread” has again posted the video that now has more than 58,000 shares and over 50,000 reactions since it was posted last August 16.
In a previous interview with SF Globe, Sofia said that she practiced for five times a week for the competition where she glided to the beat of “Bring Me To Life.”
She also revealed that roller skating was not a first love for her since she was first into figureskating.
“In August 2012 I was in Czech Republic on a sport trip with other kids from inline skating club and I was the only one who did figure skating, all others were slalolmers,” she said.
And added: “”I liked greatly what they did on cones! When I came back I decided to learn slalom.”
Aside from her victory in the Czech competition, Sofia has also placed fiurst in the RollerClub Cup and the two meets of the Russian Roller Sport Federation – all held in 2013, just a year after she first tried roller skating.
