Their character roles in the hit musical-comedy movie Pitch Perfect may not have been paired together, but that doesn’t make Anna Camp and Skylar Astin’s relationship any less harmonious.
The Pitch Perfect co-stars officially tied the knot on Saturday, September 10, in an outdoor wedding ceremony on the coast of Central California, as per an article published by People Magazine.
The newlyweds met on the set of the musical comedy in June 2013 and announced their engagement in January of this year during a New Year’s holiday in Hawaii.
The chemistry between the two songbirds are undeniable. In fact, Camp, 33, and Astin, 28, often spoke of their instant connection and how they became best friends, despite the age difference.
“He’s five years younger. But I was like, ‘You know what? OK! Let’s do it, let’s see.’,” the actress said. “We were friends first and just hit it off. He’s literally my best friend.”
While Astin shared: “I really do fall in love with her more every day. I always have these moments where I look at her and I feel like I was when I was a child. Is that weird?”
Several members of the Pitch Perfect cast — which include Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, and Elizabeth Banks — were present to celebrate the union of their friends.
“We’re thinking different shades of pinks and peach. I want the colors to feel very nature-friendly, but very vibrant and lively. It’s fresh and also romantic. I want it to feel like you’re walking into Romeo and Juliet’s beautiful fantasy,” the bride revealed her visions for the entire wedding look.
She also shared that Astin had been hands-on with the planning as well: “We do everything together. It’s really sweet.”
This is the second time the 33-year-old actress got hitched. Her first marriage was with Scrubs actor Michael Mosley in 2010 which ended in divorce in May 2013 due to “irreconcilable differences”.
