- Senator lashed at LP stalwarts and NP partymate, accused them of misleading int’l media
- He said their lies and antics have given PH a black eye in the int’l community
- He also maintained they are plotting to replace Duterte with Robredo
MANILA, Philippines – Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano placed the blame on the international community’s continued harrying of the Philippines on its ongoing campaign against drugs, not on the Davao Death Squad but on three senators whom he also identified as ‘DDS’.
“DDS nga eh: De Lima, (Franklin) Drilon, and Sonny Trillanes,” Rappler quoted him as saying.
Cayetano accused the three of giving the Philippines a black eye by lying that the killings of drug suspects were sanctioned by the state.
“Sa abroad, akala nila ‘yung killings state-sponsored kasi ‘yun ‘binibigay na impression ni Senator De Lima at iba nilang kakampi. I know for a fact na ginagmit nila ‘yung linya nila sa EU, to a certain degree sa United Nations and sa US,” he said.
[People abroad think the killings are state-sponsored because that’s the impression that Senator De Lima and her cohorts are giving them. I know for a fact that they use that line with the European Union, to a certain degree with the United Nations, and the United States.]
Cayetano also maintained his earlier theory of a Liberal Party (LP) plot to oust President Rodrigo Duterte and replace him with Vice President Leni Robredo.
“What I’m saying is these three senators have been, as a fact, misleading the international media, niyuyugyog ang presidency, naapektuhan na ‘yung buong bansa [shaking up the presidency, and affecting the whole country]. My theory is that they want their woman to take over,” he said.
De Lima, Drilon and Trillanes are among the most vocal critics of Duterte in the Senate.
