  • Senator’s former receiving clerk questioned the genuineness of BDO slips amounting to P24M
  • She denied ownership of the bank account, said she would never have used her nickname
  • She also claimed having been forced to make an affidavit against former boss

MANILA, Philippines – The plot thickens?

Amid the DOJ’s investigation into the alleged drug ties of Sen. Leila de Lima, her former receiving clerk has come forward to deny the authenticity of both the bank transaction slips under her name and the affidavit she executed.

In her Facebook, Edna “Bogs” C. Obuyes — a contractual employee at the DOJ — claimed she was forced to make an affidavit against her former boss and claim ownership of the BDO slips containing P24 million in transactions under her name.

“To all my friends and relatives, ako man po ay nabigla at napasama po ako sa isyung ito, nung pinatawag po ko sa loob ng office ni sec. aguirre masaya po akong pumasok sa akala kung pipirma po ako ng bagong contract. pero laking gulat ko na ang inihain sa harapan ko ay bdo bank receipt amounting 24 million for the month of march and april 2014, kalakip ng mga pictures namin ni senator de lima. na yung time na yan nasa chr pa po ko,” she wrote.

[To all my friends and relatives, I was surprised and felt bad over this issue, I was initially happy after being called to Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre’s office because I thought I would be renewing my contract. But I was surprised when I was shown the BDO bank receipt amounting to P24 million for the month of March and April 2014 together with the pictures of me and Sen. De Lima. That time I was still with the CHR.]

Obuyes said it’s impossible for her to own the slips as well as the bank account since she does not use her nickname.

“At ang pangalan ko dun ay bogs c obuyes, na imposible ko namang gamitin yun dahil nickname ko lang po un,” she wrote.

[And my name there was Bogs C. Obuyes, which is impossible for me to use because it’s only my nickname.]

Aside from appealing to De Lima’s accusers to stop peddling lies, Obuyes said she also felt bad because they were twisting her words to suit their goals.

“Sobra na tama na, maawa na sana sila kay sen. LML. ang laman ng statement ko po ay puro pag tatanggi na walang katotohanan ang lahat. pero bakit ang lumalabas ay against sen. de lima na ang statement ko. pls… pray for me and for our sen. LML,” she wrote.

[This is too much, stop it, I hope they can show mercy towards Sen. De Lima. The gist of my statement denied all their claims as having no ounce of truth, but why is it they are making my statement against Sen. De Lima. Please pray for me and our Sen. De Lima.]
