- Paolo was suspended for six months over his social media rant last March
Paolo Ballesteros is really happy that he’s finally back in “Eat Bulaga”.
The TV host-actor was reportedly suspended for six months as a part of the top-rating noontime show’s disciplinary action after he ranted on social media about the alleged incompetence of the production staff during an event.
Reports said Ballesteros was scheduled to host the Ad Summit Pilipinas 2016, held in Subic Bay Freeport Zone last March 9-12, but he was not seen at the dinner event that his “Eat Bulaga” co-hosts Vic Sotto, Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo, Anjo Yllana, Allan K., Pia Guanio, Ruby Rodriguez, Pauleen Luna and Ryzza Mae Dizon attended.
Las Monday, September 5, Paolo returned to “Eat Bulaga” and reunited with his EB family, and appeared on the show’s “Juan for All, All for Juan” segment held in a barangay in Pasig City.
Paolo’s return received a positive response from the studio audience and he was welcomed warmly by his co-hosts.
According to an article written by James Patrick Anarcon for Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), Paolo said in an interview with “24 Oras” that he missed the Dabarkads a lot. He added that he also missed talking to the winners of the show’s “Juan for All, All for Juan” segment.
During the set visit in July for his upcoming movie “Bakit Lahat Ng Guwapo May Boyfriend”, he said that he was supposed to return to “Eat Bulaga” in September and described his status as ‘bakasyon, bakasyon na may time limit’.
He revealed that the biggest lesson he learned from what happened is: “Bawal ang maldita.” [Being mean is prohibited.]
