- Actress said concubinage and VAWC raps to push through against estranged hubby
- She denied reports they have reconciled, said rumors unsubstantiated and baseless
- She stated she is simply civil to her husband, lets him visit their kids as it’s his right
MANILA, Philippines – Actress Sunshine Dizon denied reports she has reconciled with estranged husband Timothy Tan even as she vowed to push through with the concubinage and Violation against Women and Children (VAWC) charges she filed against him.
In an interview with GMA News, Dizon said reports of any supposed reconciliation with her other half Timothy Tan was baseless and unsubstantiated.
“It’s so unfair, I don’t know where all of these is coming from, kasi it could ultimately hurt my case, kung may isusulat naman po kayo, sana i-verify naman at ‘yung katotohanan lang [if you have to write about it, I hope you verify it so only the truth comes out],” she said.
Dizon, however, admitted that she meets Tan occasionally especially when he visits their children; saying he has a right to do as their father.
“Hindi ko rin pwedeng pigilan ang asawa ko na makita ang mga anak niya dahil tatay pa rin siya [I cannot stop him from seeing his children because he’s still their father]. I’m just being civil,” she said.
Dizon stressed her point further on Instagram when she appealed to the public and media to stop spreading gossip about her case.
“Finally, I request any person who has no involvement in my cases to please refrain from fanning the flames of gossip and intrigue. The past months have been extremely traumatic for me and my children, and our wounds are still raw. We beg media to help us heal, to grant us some goodwill in these matters, and to report only about truthful, verifiable facts,” she wrote.
