Detained former senator Bong Revilla had the chance to sing the Tagalog Christmas song Sana Ngayong Pasko with his wife Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado at the Camp Crame.
As per an story by Allan Diones of Abante, it was disclosed that the couple celebrated Christmas in a musical way; expressing what they feel by singing a few songs.
Mercado, after the request of some friends, sang the song Miss Kita Kung Christmas. To note, it was Revilla’s third Christmas inside the Philippine National Police Custodial Center.
In return, Revilla sang the song Pasko Na Sinta Ko for his wife.
After that, the two sang the song Sana Ngayong Pasko; the same song that made Mercado emotional a few days before Christmas.
Saddened by a Christmas song
Earlier, Mercado was not able to control her emotions when the Philippine Movie Press Club carolers started singing Sana Ngayong Pasko at the Bacoor Government Center.
“Aaminin ko na may isang awitin kayo na naluha ako, oo,” said Lani; pertaining to Sana Ngayong Pasko.
In her speech, she mentioned her sadness over the Supreme Court’s (SC’s) decision to junk their family’s appeal for the dismissal of the plunder case filed against Bong. She said that was the reason why she cried upon hearing the song.
Voting 13-1, with one inhibition, the high court junked Revilla’s petition last December 6.
Lani, however, said they respect the SC’s decision.
