Victims of the NIA Road fire were visited by the team of Duterte’s Kitchen as shown by blogger Mocha Uson via Facebook live on Friday.
In the live video, people could be seen queuing to receive food packs from the staff of the DK as assisted by Uson.
The tragic incident took place on Wednesday at the NIA Road wherein around 1,000 families lost their homes.
Most of the victims spent the night in the street, according to a GMA story, as most of them were not able to save their belongings.
Duterte’s Kitchen, based on a Balita DF story, is located between MRT Cubao and Farmer’s Plaza with the aim to provide free nutritious food to street children and the elderly.
It provides meals for 50-70 people daily. Food commonly served there are lugaw, champorado, fish, vegetables, adobong manok and adobong baboy.
Meanwhile, netizens commended Duterte’s Kitchen, the president, and the people who initiated the project as well as the donors.
