After 2NE1’s disbandment, life goes on for Sandara Park.
In an article written by Bernie Franco of PEP, it was disclosed that singer-actress Park is anticipating more projects in the Philippines and in South Korea.
“Abangan n’yo rin ang mga upcoming projects ko sa Philippines and in Korea next year!” she announced.
[Wait for my upcoming projects in the Philippines and in Korea next year!]
“I will work harder for all of you!” she promised; adding that she already misses her fans.
In the Philippines, Park is a singer and actress who is popularly known as the “Pambansang Krung Krung”. She has starred in several Filipino films and was even the leading lady in a number of films. Recently, she became one of the judges in the reality-based talent show Pinoy Boyband Superstar; together with Aga Muhlach, Yeng Constantino, and Vice Ganda.
In Korea, Park is a popstar and is more popularly referred to as Dara of 2NE1. Just recently, however, the K-Pop group has officially disbanded. YG Entertainment has announced that the members will focus on their solo careers.
“2NE1’s exclusive contract expired in May 2016, and with Minzy leaving 2NE1, we have come to the decision to officially disband after extensive discussion with the remaining members. As 2NE1 was YG’s official girl group for seven years, we cannot begin to express how we feel, but we determined that it was too difficult to continue. Rather than waiting an unknown amount of time for 2NE1’s next promotions, we have decided to focus on the members’ solo activities,” YG said in a statement.
While Park said she is eyeing more projects next year, she did not enumerate what those projects are.
