Actress and movie producer Donna Villa passed away on Tuesday, January 17. She was 57.
Donna Villa, wife of writer-director Carlo J. Caparas, died at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital after being confined there since January 10. She succumbed to cancer, as per a PEP story. Aside from Carlo, she left behind their two children – son CJ and daughter Peach.
Villa’s family has yet to release a statement regarding her demise.
Friends from the showbiz industry took to social media to express their condolences. Actresses Vivian Velez and Sarah Lahbati were among the firsts to express their sympathies.
“Our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow direk Carlo J. Caparas… Remembering Donna’s wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in peace!” Vivan Velez said in her Facebook post.
Sarah Lahbati tweeted: “Saddened and shocked about the recent news… tita Donna Villa was always supportive of me and always had the biggest, infectious smile. I cherish my time spent with you on our last film together. May you Rest in Peace.”
