Dancer-turned-blogger Mocha Uson already has her “first goal” immediately after being appointed at the Movie and Television Review And Classification Board (MTRCB).

On her Facebook page, Uson wrote that the first thing she wants to do is to remove soft porn on television.

“First goal po natin BAN SOFT PORN sa TV. Pag-aaralan natin papaano ang proseso. Samahan ninyo po ako sa laban na ito,” she said on her post.

[Our goal is to ban soft porn on TV. We will determine the right process that we need to do in order to achieve such goal. Please support me in this battle.]

Merriam Webster defines soft–core of pornography as a material “containing descriptions or scenes of sex acts that are less explicit than hard-core material” or “showing or describing sex acts but not in an extremely open and shocking way.”

Most of the Facebook users who commented on Uson’s post agreed with her; saying that the younger ones need again the educational television programs that used to be aired such as the Batibot, Sine Eskuwela, Hiraya Manawari, Math Tinik, and Bayani. Others urged the removal of kissing and sexual scenes.

Uson will be part of the MTRCB until this September. According to her appointment papers read by Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella, her term will expire on September 30, 2017.
