Sunshine: Angelina will quit showbiz once it affects her grades, we have a mother-daughter agreement on that

  • Actress Sunshine Cruz revealed that she and her daughter Angelina Montano signed a written agreement before the latter started her career in the entertainment industry
  • 15-year-old Angelina already graced a magazine cover, signed under Universal Records, and is currently being managed by Arnold Vegafria
  • Angelina, however, will have to  quit her showbiz career, once it begins affecting her grades in school in a negative way

Even now when she has already entered the entertainment industry, studies will still be the priority of Angelina Montano. Otherwise, she would have to quit from showbiz.

In an article written by Anj Sampayan of PEP, it was disclosed that the 15-year-old daughter of actor Cesar Montano and actress Sunshine Cruz, an honor student at De La Salle Santiago Zobel, should take care of her grades in school in order to be allowed to continue her showbiz career.

“I spoke to her several times and nagkaroon kami ng deal. May pirmahan pa kami [we had a deal…. We even signed an agreement],” Sunshine disclosed; saying that she and her daughter signed “a mother-daughter agreement”.

The actress shared that the agreement was written by Angelina herself.

“‘Angelina, kapag ang pag-aaral mo,’ kasi honor student iyan sa La Salle e she’s doing good in school… ‘e, kakausapin ko si Arnold and sasabihin ko na itigil na iyan. So sabi ko, ‘Sulat mo, meron tayong kontrata dapat,'” she narrated.

[I told her, Angelina, if that affects your studies,’ because she is an honor student in La Salle, she’s doing good in school… ‘then I would talk to Arnold  and tell him to stop that (showbiz). So I told her, ‘Write it, we should have a contract.]

“So sinulat niya, ‘I, Angelina Isabelle Cruz Montano, promise that my school will be my first priority and will always practice blah blah,” she added.

Meanwhile, Sunshine shared that she considers herself a lucky mom for having daughters who are loving and responsible. To note, like Angelina, Samantha and Cheska are honor students also.

“I know that they’ll grow up to be good people naman because I always talk to them, parang barkada. We’re like barkadas, and I think it’s working,” she said.
