- He said she is a very influential person and is a very good choice
Senate Majority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III said dancer-turned-blogger Mocha Uson is “definitely” qualified to fill a position at the Movie and Television Review And Classification Board (MTRCB).
“She is a very good choice because she abounds with common sense and knows the pulse of the public well,” Sotto said, as quoted in an article posted on GMA News Online.
Uson, known for being a staunch supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte, has been appointed as board member at the MTRCB.
When asked what made Uson qualified for the position, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar cited her influence as a “blogger” and experience as an artist.
“What makes her not qualified? Mocha is an artist; she’s one of the biggest artists we have in the country. She’s been in the show business world for more than a decade already. She’s an educated person. She’s one of the biggest bloggers we have in the Philippines; very influential,” he stated.
Uson’s term will expire on September 30, 2017, according to her appointment papers; which was read by Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella.
