K-Pop girl group 2NE1 has released its final single “Goodbye”, which has a very dramatic, black and white music video that would surely make fans go emotional.
In an article written by Jocelyn Dimaculangan of PEP, it was disclosed that 2NE1’s Goodbye has already been posted on the group’s official YouTube account.
The song features lyrics co-written by 2NE1 member CL, while the black-and-white music video features clips from the epic career of the Kpop girl group.
Former 2NE1 member Gong Minzy did not participate in the music video but she can be seen in old footage of the Korean girl group.
In November 2016, YG Entertainment announced that the K-Pop girl group 2NE1 has officially disbanded.
“2NE1’s exclusive contract expired in May 2016, and with Minzy leaving 2NE1, we have come to the decision to officially disband after extensive discussion with the remaining members,” YG said in a statement.
“As 2NE1 was YG’s official girl group for seven years, we cannot begin to express how we feel, but we determined that it was too difficult to continue. Rather than waiting an unknown amount of time for 2NE1’s next promotions, we have decided to focus on the members’ solo activities,” it added.
YG said last May, CL and Sandara Park resigned from their contract. On the other hand, there is no new contract with Park Bom.
The 2NE1 is behind the hit songs “Fire,” “I Am the Best”, and “I Don’t Care”.
