• Inday Sara reacted to Trillanes’ allegation that she owns a bank account with P121 million
• The Davao City Mayor said she would give the money away to the public if the senator could show where the money is
• Senator Trillanes is a staunch critic of President Duterte
Davao City Mayor and presidential daughter Sara “Inday Sara” Duterrte-Carpio reacted to the allegations made by Senator Antonio Trillanes III on Thursday, February 16, that she has a bank account with P121 million; hinting that the money was ill-gotten.
Inday Sara said she would give away the entire amount if the senator could show where the money is and prove that it was amassed illegally.
“If Trillanes can show where my alleged P121 million is right now and how it became illegal, kunin natin at ibigay ko sa inyo lahat [let’s get it and I will give it to all of you],” she said in a statement sent to media.
The city mayor’s statement came following Senator Trillanes’ earlier statement reviving his allegations against President Rodrigo Duterte that he has P2.4 billion in several bank accounts. According to GMA, Trillanes likewise released alleged bank accounts listed under the President’s children – Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte with P104 million, Sara with P121 million, and Sebastian Duterte with P143 million.
Trillanes challenged the President to prove that he is not a corrupt leader by making public the transaction history of his bank accounts.
Malacañang, however, said that it is up to the senator to prove his allegations.
