MANILA, Philippines – You may know him as the “Catwalk King” — thanks to the viral video of him sashaying in skimpy trunks and six-inch high heels, but Sinon Loresca is also fast getting famous for his philanthropic acts.

It can be recalled that Loresca (aka Yaya Dub’s bodyguard Rogelia in Eat Bulaga’s hit kalyeserye) was recorded in at least two instances buying food for streetchildren. Not only that, he sits down and proceeds to join them as they have their meal in those two occasions.

In an earlier interview with GMA News, Loresca said he was inspired to help the poor given that he also grew up in poverty. A native of Masbate, he went to Manila and lived in Payatas and Pasay in search of greener pastures before finally going abroad to work as an OFW in London with the help of his sibling.

Despite garnering enough savings, Loresca said he did not turn back on his roots.

“Kung anong mayroon ako, gustong kong makatulong sa ibang tao [Whatever I have, I also want to help other people],” he said at the time.

The comedian, who revealed his desire to be an artist since he was a child, added he first found his niche after encountering his fellow OFWs who were homesick. To alleviate their sadness, he decided to make funny videos to cheer them up.

Aside from the viral catwalk video, Loresca is also known as the “Boxing Queen” for his funny video showing him punching and kicking a punching bag in an outlandish manner.
