MANILA, Philippines – The artist’s sketch of the suspect in the ruthless killing of an IT professional has been released by the Quezon City Police District on Monday, February 27.

However, authorities have yet to identify the killer; the driver of the Toyota Land Cruiser with plate number AHA 3454.

The said driver is the main suspect in the shooting of 27-year-old Anthony Mendoza last Saturday, February 25 following a traffic altercation at the intersection of Quezon Avenue and D. Tuazon Street in Quezon City.

On Saturday afternoon,  Mendoza was driving a motorcycle from Banawe in Quezon City where they just bought some car part with his backriding older brother Michael.

A heated argument ensued between the Mendoza and the driver after the victim’s motorcycle almost got hit by the SUV. The suspect then pulled out a gun and shot Mendoza; hitting the latter in the head. The victim sustained two gunshot wounds and died on the spot.

The shooter, meanwhile, fled on his SUV towards Quezon Avenue after the incident.

Journal Online said in its article that the SUV plate number (AHA 3454) is actually registered to a Toyota Avanza owned by a security agency.

The QCPD described the suspect as male, fair complexion with black hair and aged 35-40. He is also considered armed and dangerous.

Police said early Monday they have coordinated with the Land Transportation Office to track down the vehicle and its owner, but no suspect has been arrested, so far.

They have also appealed to possible witness to come forward with any information that would help in identifying the suspect.
