MANILA, Philippines – At least four children, all female, have been reported missing over the weekend in Taguig City. One of them allegedly managed to inform her grandmother through text messages about the ordeal she’s in.
The grandmother told ABS-CBN News her 15-year-old granddaughter was abducted by unidentified assailants aboard a white van along MLQ road while on her way to the church last Sunday.
The victim supposedly managed to call her grandmother and ask for help. The abductors allegedly are starving them to death and even threatened to kill them. She was with several other children, the victim said.
While the girl could not say where they are being hidden, she claimed they are being kept in a house across a grassy lot.
“Pangalawang text po, ngayon lang po ulit, ang sabi, mayroon na raw pong ibinenta, mayroon na daw pong kinuha ngayong umaga,” the grandmother said.
[This is her second text, just now, she said some of them are being sold, and others were already fetched this morning.]
“Paano po namin siya tutulungan? Wala pong lead kung saan namin siya pupuntahan? Basta ang sabi niya po, nasa bukid sila,” she added.
[How could we help her? There is no lead as to her location? She just said they are in a grassy field.]
Meanwhile, three more girls were also reported missing on Saturday. They were identified by a barangay tanod as siblings Ysabelle Ezra Yanos, 3; Ysabelle Yves Yanos,7; and Ysabelle Edvyne Yanos, 10.
Like the 15-year-old girl, the three were also allegedly abducted by men aboard a white van, but this time along Hagonoy Street.
