- Father who went viral for selflessness receiving free therapy sessions
- He was also treated to a Jollibee meal with two daughters
MANILA, Philippines – Blessings have been pouring in for Ryan Arebuabo after he became popular for treating his two daughters to a meal inside Jollibee despite not being able to buy one for himself.
According to Rated K, ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation will shoulder the expenses for Arebuabo’s physical therapy to help him recover from the stroke which left him half-paralyzed four years ago.
The show also revealed that the management of the Jollibee branch where Arebuabo and his daughters ate treated them all to a full meal when they came back a second time.
The picture of Arebuabo watching his daughters eat earned him the admiration of netizens who praised him for being selfless. A number also pledged to help him and his family.
Despite earning only P100-200 a day as a sari-sari store owner and having had to raise his children on his own after his wife left him, Arebuabo said he will do everything he can to make sure his daughters — Rose Ann, 8, and Rose Mae, 6 — finish their studies and achieve their dreams.
“Gusto ko lang makapagtapos sila sa pag-aaral,” he said. “Kahit hirap akong magbasa, tinuturuan ko pa rin sila.”
[I just want them to finish their studies. Even though I find it hard to read, I still try to teach them.]
