Paul McCartney confirms making his solo album with Adele’s producer Kurstin

Music icon Paul McCartney of the Beatles has confirmed making his solo LP/album in four years.

“I’m making a new album, which is great fun. I’m in the middle of that,” McCartney said in an inteview with Matt Everitt of BBC Radio 6 on Saturday (March 25).

McCartney is working with Greg Kurstin, Adele’s producer, and whom he has first worked with two years ago for a music for an animated film.

“And since then he went on to work with Beck and got best album of the year. Then he went on to work with Adele. He just got song of the year, record of the year with Adele. And just got producer of the year. So my only worry is people are going to go, ‘Uhhhhh, there’s Paul going with the flavor of the month.’ You know, I suppose you always think the worst of it. But he’s a great guy. Greg is musical and he’s great to work with,”  he added.

McCartney took a break from recording his follow-up on his last album in 2013 to join Ringo Starr, his former Beatles bandmate, for Starr’s own album.

2017 has to be a very busy year for the songsmith. He also mentioned getting several live concerts in Japan throughout the month of April.

Launch date for his upcoming album has not yet been rescheduled though.
