Days after the bloody encounter with several Abu Sayyaf members in Barangay Napo, Inabanga, Bohol, military and police personnel are still hunting for seven members of the bandit group and their local guide who remain at large.
As mentioned in an ABS-CBN story dated April 16, 2017, government forces continue to scour the barangays of Inabanga town to search for the remaining Abu Sayyaf members who survived the clash and are now in hiding.
A resident of Barangay Napo, Joselito “Alih” Melloria who was allegedly married to a daughter of an Abu Sayyaf leader, served as the guide of the bandits who sailed from Basilan in Mindanao to Bohol to conduct kidnappings.
The Municipality of Inabanga released a poster of the suspects on social media and is urging the public to help them locate the suspects and inform authorities for any sighting of suspicious-looking men in the area.
