North Korea said it is ready to respond to any nuclear attack by the United States (U.S.) in kind.
As per 9News, the reclusive nation’s number two official Choe Ryong-Hae declared that it is ready to respond to any attack by the U.S.
“We’re prepared to respond to an all-out war with an all-out war and we are ready to hit back with nuclear attacks of our own style against any nuclear attacks,” Mr. Choe Ryong-Hae said in a speech at a ceremony before a large military parade started on the “Day of the Sun” at Pyongyang’s main Kim Il Sung Square.
There were earlier reports that said U.S. intelligence officials have warned that if North Korea will conduct another nuclear weapons test on the “Day of the Sun” – the 105th birth anniversary of North Korea’s founder Kim Il Sung – the U.S. will launch a pre-emptive strike against it.
A senior Trump administration official, however, belied the report; saying, as a policy, “it does not discuss future operations nor publicly speculate on possible scenarios.”
