Thor: Ragnarok trailer officially released

Featuring: Destruction of Mjolnir, Hulk versus short-haired Thor, and Official Sound Track by Led Zeppelin!

April 10, 2017 – The long wait is over for diehard Marvel fans specifically the Thor franchise as Marvel in partnership with Disney officially released the movie trailer for Thor: Ragnarok. Do not get so excited though, for it is just a trailer, the movie will be released on November 2017 in theaters.

Thor: Ragnarok is the third installment in the Thor franchise and sequel to Thor: the Dark World.

In the trailer, Thor seems to be caught up in chains in the slow paced intro, until viewing fans get hyped over the destruction of Mjolnir (Thor’s iconic hammer) by the powerful villainess Hela. The tension keep rising as following scenes include the mayhem in Thor’s home, Asgard, the hero’s defeats and downfalls, and appearances of familiar characters like brother Loki and Heimdall the gatekeeper as well as new faces and characters.

With a cool soundtrack by rock band Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant song with lyrics like “Hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new land, to fight the hordes and sing, and cry. Valhalla, I am coming” (Thor movies being evidently based on Norse mythology), you would never get bored with excitement, head nodding to the beat, especially at the trailer’s finale; a short-haired Thor inside a gladiator-like arena, and guess who he’s fighting – his fellow Avenger the Incredible Hulk!

Hulk and Thor as we recall had a short fight scene in the Avengers 1 movie. Fans anticipate a round 2 and here is what they get. The two superheroes were also absent in the related film Captain America: Civil War last 2016 and this is their big comeback for fans who missed them.

The cast of the movie include:

Chris Hemsworth as Thor
Cate Blanchett as Hela
Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk
Tom Hiddleston as Loki
Idris Elba as Heimdall
Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange
