Yes!

“KZ is not just singing.  She indeed is telling a story…touching audience’ heart…. by doing that is not easy…. U can see it through their expressions… that is d true essence of a true singer..”

KZ IN CHINA
EPISODE 7

*** IMPORTANT: The first videos released online of “Say Something” contained an error with the recording of the song. The vocals came half beat ahead of the guitar. This is the CORRECT VERSION and is the same one as how it was performed live. PLS SHARE.

One of the songs KZ sang in the auditions for Singer 2018 in Manila was her version of “Say Something”. It was a touching rendition that was made even more somber because was she was under the weather during that performance. We did not know how much impact it made to the chinese producers until the 7th episode. We have prepared a fast song that the team has arranged from Manila when HBS changed the song last minute. They opted instead for “Say Something”. We had a full band arrangement for that song but they turned that down requesting instead for the exact, stripped down version they heard during the Manila auditions. So at the last minute, we flew Macoy from Manila. They rehearsed the song the same day as competition even adding some revisions along the way.
It was a solid performance and Kz got a better rank this week making her safe from next week’s elimination. One of her strong contenders, young chinese superstar Hua Chenyu, said her song was his favorite for that episode and Jessie J even quipped during the announcements KZ should be in the Top 4.
So the adventure continues.
