According to the National Capital Region Police (NCRPO,) 68 shooting incidents involving motorcycle riding-in-tandem suspects remain unsolved since the police force returned on the war against illegal drugs.
NCRPO chief Director Oscar Albayalde said on Tuesday that from December 5 last year to March 13, a total of 77 shooting incidents were recorded by the NCRPO.
Of the 77 cases, only Only 9 have been solved in which a case was filed against identified suspects, Albayalde said.
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa has already ordered the police force to focus on solving riding-in-tandem cases.
“He [has] given instruction to give focus on the solution of these cases,” Albayalde said.
“As much as possible, sabi nga ni chief, kung hindi man lang ma-zero, ma-minimize talaga yung mga ganyang incidents, ‘yung mga riding-in-tandem incidents, ‘yung motorcycle riding suspects, ito ‘yung direktiba ng ating chief PNP,” he added.
