The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Tuesday that the number coding scheme in Metro Manila will be lifted on March 28, Holy Wednesday at 10 a.m..
MMDA Assistant General Manager Jojo Garcia, said that the move by MMDA is to allow the public to leave for their respective provinces before the rush hour.
Government officials earlier announced that a half-day work schedule on Holy Wednesday will also be implemented to allow public school students, government workers, court personnel and others to prepare for the Lenten break.
The number coding scheme is expected to resume on April 2, after Easter Sunday (April 1.)
