- Facebook user posted the results of using Goree Beauty Cream, a popular brand among the Filipino masses
- Photo evidences show that the skin has turned red and almost burnt
- It was then discovered that the cream had been banned in the country by the FDA
With the steady rise in the demand for beauty products, different brands have popped out of nowhere with the promise of satisfying your desires.
A Facebook user named Ranz Harley posted on his account the results when his sister used something called Goree Beauty Cream and it has gone viral.
According to the post, she put it on her underarm and at first it felt a little itchy so after just two days, she discontinued using it.
They didn’t pay much attention to the itchiness because they thought it was pretty normal but when they noticed that the skin on her armpits have become flayed and burnt, they became alarmed.
He clarified that it was only Goree Beauty Cream that his sister used and he is aware that the brand has its loyal users but upon further research, he discovered that Goree Beauty Cream is actually banned in the Philippines. It was never approved by the FDA because of its high mercury content.
He ended the post with a reminder that Mercury is bad for everyone’s health and even if some would say it’s effective, it’s still not safe.
Ranz included photos of her sister’s flayed skin as proof.
SA MGA NAGTATANONG PO PALA NA MGA SUBSCRIBERS KO SA YOUTUBE ABOUT UPDATE SA GOREE BEAUTY CREAM. OH MYYYYYYY GUYSSSS…
Some of the comments also claims that they experienced the same results.
The Food and Drug Administration issued an advisory last October 2017 warning everyone not to use any product of Goree because of its high mercury content.
Ranz Harley said that they are not planning to file a case against the people who sold the product to them but he left a reminder for all the online sellers that they should be aware whether or not the things they sell are safe.
The burnt skin of the woman is already being treated after consulting a dermatologist.
