A security guard was arrested in a buy-bust operation staged by Punta Princessa police, Pardo police and Mambaling police on Friday.
The suspect was identified as Mario de Jesus, 34, who was in possession of shabu worth P11 million in the buy-bust that occurred at Bontorres St., Barangay Basak San Nicholas, Cebu City.
Seized from the security guard were four extra large packs and one medium-sized sachet of shabu, P15,000 boodle money, and P8,000 cash believed to be proceeds of illegal drug trade.
The suspect was detained at the Punta Princessa police precinct pending the filing of charges of possession and peddling of illegal drugs.
The suspect claimed that the seized shabu came from his cousin.
Station Commander of Punta Police Precinct Chief Insp. Henrix Bangcoleta said they have been monitoring the security guard for almost two weeks before conducting the buy-bust operation.
