12 suspects including a drug group leader were arrested in a series of anti-illegal drug operations staged by the Northern Police District in Malabon City on Wednesday.
According to Northern Police District Director Police Chief Superintendent Amando Empiso, they first arrested Marvin “Mabong” Oraño, 32, resident of Navotas City in a buy-bust.
The operatives’ poser-buyer was able to purchase P500 worth of shabu from Mabong and after the arrest, he ‘spilled the beans’ about his accomplices’ whereabouts and activities.
11 others were arrested and a total of 84 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of more than P1 million were seized from the suspects.
Also confiscated were two hand grenades, one uzi machine pistol and ammunition.
