- 2 notorious motorcycle thieves were finally caught by the Police in Pagadian City
- Both the two were involved in a series of carnapping cases in the city
- They both admitted the crime and are now under the custody of the police
Two motorcycle thieves were arrested by the Police on Sunday in Pagadian City.
The suspects were identified as Jomari Omas, 19, and Rodel Sarmiento; both residents of Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Omas was the first one caught around 1:00 a.m. at Barangay Sta. Lucia after he was seen pushing a motorcycle.
The police apprehended Omas after they noticed that the motorcycle’s key was missing.
According to the motorcycle’s owner, Ariel Niegas, his motorcycle was stolen while it was parked at a KTV bar in Barangay Gatas.
After half an hour, Sarmiento was also arrested.
Sarmiento was recognized by a witness who saw his act of stealing a motorcycle owned by a certain Mr. Apas in front of his house in Barangay Manga.
According to the Police, Omas and Sarmiento were involved in a series of motorcycle theft in the area.
Both the two suspects did not deny the allegations against them and are both facing carnapping cases.
