Bianca Manalo, together with her boyfriend, Jonathan Tan, Mayor of Pandan, Antique, visited their rescuers on Monday, April 2. They went to the village to personally thank the fishermen who rescued them.

In a video sent to ABS-CBN News by Tan’s administration officer, Jesus Dioso, it can be seen that the former beauty queen and actress, Bianca Manalo, became emotional as she pose for photos together with her boyfriend and their rescuers.

In another short video clip, Manalo said to the fishermen, “Kung hindi po kayo mabilis rumesponde, malamang po, wala na po kaming lahat.” [If you did not respond quickly, most likely we’re all dead.”]

It can be remembered that last Thursday, March 29, as they were on their way to Mararison Island from Pandan, their speedboat capsized because of strong waves.

Manalo and Tan were stranded for hours together with their seven companions, including actress Ehra Madrigal.

Tan and Torrebeo Barrientos swam towards the shore in the hope that they would find help and luckily, they reached the fishermen of Brgy. Aras arasan.

Unfortunately, Bennie Dable, 50, the bodyguard and reportedly a relative of Tan who was said to be  driving the speedboat, died after the tragic incident.
