A customer who was trying to claim the laptop he brought to a computer service center to have it fixed was stabbed to death by the head technician of the shop located inside a mall in Quezon City.
As per GMA News, the victim was stabbed several times by the suspect identified as Leo Laab, the head technician of PC Home Service Center in SM City North EDSA shopping mall. The victim, 56-year-old Geroldo Ramon Querijero, was rushed to J.P. Sioson General Hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival due to multiple stab wounds.
According to witnesses, the victim went to the computer service center to claim his laptop at around 5:30 p.m., but Laab refused to release it because Lopez failed to present his copy of the job order that also served as a claim stub.
The victim’s wife, Susan Querijero, claimed that her husband presented an official receipt, but it was not honored by Laab, who insisted on asking for the claim stub.
An altercation between Laab and Querijero ensued. At one point, the victim hit the suspect’s hand and the suspect retaliated by punching Querijero in the chest. Lopez threw bottled water and hit Laab’s face. It was then that Laab pulled a bladed weapon and stab the victim nine times.
The police launched a pursuit operation against Laab who immediately escaped after the stabbing incident.
