Katy Perry knows that for her Filipino fans, nothing shows love like a “Mahal kita.”
During the Manila leg of her Witness The Tour at the Mall of Asia Arena, Katy Perry didn’t hesitate in learning a few Tagalog words.
She was quoted by Pep saying, “I need a Filipino!” The Fireworks singer asked a lucky fan on stage to teach her. The fan couldn’t believe his luck that he seemed unable to talk at first.
The concert was such an eye-candy filled with extravagant props, fireworks and choreography. In the end, Katy Perry thanked her Filipino fans for a wonderful concert. She said, “I feel like we’ve grown up together. I feel like we’re a tribe, a unit. Mahal kita. I’m so excited to come back here and share the rest of my life with you. Mahal kita.”
