Leni Robredo apologized over their Holocaust Memorial photo that caused a stir among several netizens.

Robredo clarified they didn’t intend to put any malice when she and fellow Liberal Party members posed for a photo at the memorial for the millions of Jews who died under the Nazi regime.

The Vice President was quoted by ABS-CBN as saying, “Gusto ko mag-apologize [I want to apologiz] for offending the sensitivities of others. There was no excuse. While there was no malice in it, I take full responsibility kaya I would like to apologize for whatever offense to the sensitivities of the people.”

Robredo along with Senator Francis Pangilinan, Quezon City Rep. Jose Christopher Belmonte, Dinagat Islands Rep. Kaka Bag-ao, Marikina Rep. Miro Quimbo, and former budget secretary Florencio Abad were criticized for being disrespectful as they “happily” posed in the photo.
